Howdy! I'm Jack Static, an independent musician from Western Canada. I've been semi-active since the mid-90s, recording and performing as a solo artist and with others. I offer weird rock riffs, tender folky ballads, and waves of gorgeous noise, in various configurations, all ruined by my oddball voice. Think Neil Young mixed with Andrew Scott, minus their cool confidence (or if we're crossing borders, Lou Reed and Liz Phair work too). I launched this page to celebrate the release of my new "digital box set" TIME CAPSULE v.1 - FOUR-TRACK YEARS (1999-2004). It contains fresh 2025 remixes of my first six albums, all recorded on four-track a quarter century ago. I'll be adding more stuff, including records from this decade, in the near future.
